The scriptures are VERY CLEAR about Profiting in business AS UNTO THE LORD, ministry itself is a business..the business of the Lord himself. “The trouble arises when we as mere mortals mix in worldly delights and fleshly pleasures with the business of the Lord”.
Pro 10:2 “Treasures of wickedness profit nothing: but righteousness delivereth from death.”
Pro 11:4 “Riches profit not in the day of wrath: but righteousness delivereth from death.”

These verses are quoted from one of worlds RICHEST MEN ever…..Solomon, so you cannot ever state that his “Business” was not part of his worship of God, it was ONLY after his fall into sin which he decieded to do on his own that he made these comments………..Just because someone is wise at the out-set doesn’t mean they will stay wise or use that wisdom at all.

This is in no way to be interpreted that business is wrong but only business that leads to nothing, profits of fleshly desire with no supernatural wisdom for the future. If a man or women Works to put himself first or even family first they work in vain.
Mark 8:36 “For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?” This should be the whole purpose of ANY JOB or BUSINESS………….

Anything short of this is bad business for the kingdom of God and does no one any good.
Works are important to balance our faith in scripture but do not of themselves mean anything without faith to empower them.
Jas 2:14 “What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him?”
A business or a Job empowers a man or women to DO GOOD THINGS or it can give them an excuse to be selfish…but the choice is ours.

If business and profit and ministry were NOT GOD’S WILL then he failed in many places to to communicate that particular teaching as here……..
Gen 47:14 “And Joseph gathered up all the money that was found in the land of Egypt, and in the land of Canaan, for the corn which they bought: and Joseph brought the money into Pharaoh’s house.”
That’s “Millions”of dollars in our day not to mention the crops and cattle, so obviously God has no problem using money or commerce to save or to bless his people. What do you people do with the many bible characters whom God told he would make rich both in physical and spiritual blessings? Do you cut out of scripture what doesn’t agree with your personal beliefs?
I’m sorry but Abraham is an example to every believer that God is a blesser, of THE WHOLE PERSON!

Money, business profiting, and obedience go hand and hand…..you cannot have one without the other.

Pro 13:11 “Wealth gotten by vanity {meaning that your wealth is the mirror by which you see yourself instead of seeing yourself in the reflection of God’s Son, THAT} shall be diminished: but he that gathereth by labour {SWEAT AND BLOOD.} shall increase.” Working for a living instead of fleecing God’s people and living in the lap of luxury with that money, is the primary difference between fake Christianity and real faith. Now please let me make myself clear here I’m by no means rich but I’m also NOT GOING TO WALLOW IN POVERTY AND CALL IT GODLY, that would be an insult to our God. Satan and Sin are the parents of poverty NOT the poor but their state, he is also the parent of the falsely rich who tread down the poor!
What about advertising your business as thousands of real believers do on their web-sites every day, is this allowed by God or is it sinful to mix your business with your ministry? Is this practice the same thing that Jesus drove out of the temple with a cord? If it is then how can I ever get a profit with business or a Job if I am the personal temple of God?
Does God HATE THE WEALTHY? Of course not, if he did he would have hate himself and all the millions of his people he’s blessed over the centuries.

What does it mean that the wealth of the UNgodly is laid up for the just? Is this in heaven? Or is it on earth in the here and now? I mean really let’s stop all this battle of the scriptures…its childishness and God hates it. The bible says its good to be wealthy IF THAT WEALTH IS NOT ILL GOTTEN GAIN!

REALLY, DO YOUR SCRIPTURES ABOUT “ANTI-WEALTH” TRUMP MY VERSES HERE THAT PLAINLY STATE WEALTH IS FROM GOD?

Because they refuse to believe it belongs to them!}, but a stranger {The World} eateth it: this is vanity, and it is an evil disease. “
Here God said it not me, its VAIN for a people to refuse the blessing and allow the world to eat of it out of pure pride and religious vanity. This is the highest form IDOLATRY to think your thoughts better than God’s viewpoint on HIS PERSONAL WEALTH AND WHO HE DETERMINES TO GIVE IT TO.
O.K. back to the question of mixing our business endevours with our faith endevours……is it sinful?
NO! In no way is it wrong to sell products online or market something to other people AS LONG as it is done totally above board, legally, and godly. There is no way on earth that you could equate that with “Money Changers in the temple”, they were in direct disobedience to the word of God as to where they could have these tables of commerce and to top it off, should not have over charged for these items to make profit of the sacrifices. If you read the Old Testament you can plainly see that God had “Profit built in-to” the sacrificial system for both the people and the priests.
Lev 6:14-18 “And this is the law of the meat offering: the sons of Aaron shall offer it before the LORD, before the altar. And he shall take of it his handful, of the flour of the meat offering, and of the oil thereof, and all the frankincense which is upon the meat offering, and shall burn it upon the altar for a sweet savour, even the memorial of it, unto the LORD. And the remainder thereof shall Aaron and his sons eat: with unleavened bread shall it be eaten in the holy place; in the court of the tabernacle of the congregation they shall eat it. It shall not be baken with leaven. I have given it unto them for their portion of my offerings made by fire; it is most holy, as is the sin offering, and as the trespass offering. All the males among the children of Aaron shall eat of it. It shall be a statute for ever in your generations concerning the offerings of the LORD made by fire: every one that toucheth them shall be holy.”
So its plainly stated here that the “Priests of Aaron” according to scripture were taken care of, that was their profit from the sacrifices and NO MORE.
In Jesus day the High Priest[s], were not the legal priests of God but the token pawns of Rome….they instituted the selling in the temple which Jesus was offended by because they were profiting NOT in a godly way but from evil intent and disobedience. But it would have been fine if someone were to sell sheep and cattle for sacrifice OUTSIDE of the temple grounds at reasonable prices to those who could afford them and to provide them to the poor from the profits gained from the richer Israelites, that was the way God intended for businesses to function.
Every apostle in the New Testament gained profits in one form or another, either by Working like Paul as a tentmaker, or getting support from VERY WEALTHY women in the towns they preached in.
Ministry must have support or it goes nowhere fast, this is what is meant when God stated the the wealth of the ungodly is laid-up FOR THE GODLY. Money is a function of the earth…period, without it we would starve.
It is and always has been “HOW WEALTH IS GOTTEN”, NOT WEATHER WE CAN HAVE IT IN GOD’S WILL.
Please understand that to be “Wealthy” comes in many degrees from ” well-off” to “beyond insane” and of course I’m referring to those whom God has called to bless with their “well off” status and spread the Gospel to the world.
The MORE that well-off people invest in the Kingdom the better the quality of the spreading.
Do you believe that the big tract and Bible societies got there being HUMBLY POOR or by being placed in a “well-off” status either by donations or their leadership personal wealth?
Heb 13:5 “Let your conversation {Lifestyle} be without covetousness {wanting others things or lifestyle}; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. “
Php 4:11 ” Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am {Physically poor or wealthy}, therewith to be content.”
In both of these scriptures that the “poormongers” misuse, it is God who will take care of us and provide every thing we need for our whole person so we are really not “Poor in Him” but only as far as the world can interpret our state and I have personally been in both states of mind so I know that the being poor here is NOT BEING NEEDY but simply being in the hands of God’s providence and care.
Luk 10:34 is a picture of God’s care:
“And went to him, and bound up his wounds, pouring in oil and wine, and set him on his own beast, and brought him to an inn, and took care of him.” This is for all my friends who are suffering from depression and feel downtrodden under the lies and pressure of everyday life.
